Geotextile fabric is also known as landscape fabric, geofabrics, filter fabric, geo fabric, is a water-permeable geosynthetics made of synthetic fibers by needle punching or weaving. Geotextile is one of the new geosynthetics, the finished product is cloth-like and generally has a width of 4-6 meters and a length of 50-100 meters.
Geofabrics are widely used in infrastructure construction such as roads, railways, water conservancy, water transportation, airports, and environmental protection. They play a role in filtration, drainage, protection, isolation and crack prevention in engineering.
Geotextiles are divided into: woven geotextile, non-woven geotextile, geocomposite (composite geotextile) and wet-laid geotextile.
