What is carbon fiber cloth?
Carbon fiber cloth reinforcement repair concrete structure technology is a new and efficient structural reinforcement repair technology, which is the use of resin adhesive materials to paste carbon fiber on the concrete surface, the use of carbon fiber good tensile strength to enhance the bearing capacity and stiffness of the component, in order to achieve the purpose of reinforcement of the structure and components, compared with the traditional reinforcement method, with high strength and efficiency, convenient construction, high work efficiency, good durability and other outstanding advantages. In recent years, carbon fiber composites have been widely used in the reinforcement of building concrete structures.
The external carbon fiber reinforced composite reinforced concrete technology is to paste the fiber reinforced composite sheet on the outside of the concrete structure, and the two are synergistically stressed to achieve the purpose of reinforcement. Carbon fiber cloth has the characteristics of high tensile strength (its tensile strength is about ten times that of ordinary steel), high strength, high elastic modulus, light weight and good corrosion resistance, which provides a prerequisite for the reinforcement of reinforced concrete structures by pasting carbon fiber cloth. However, after the carbon fiber material is woven into carbon fiber cloth, it is difficult for the carbon fiber filaments in it to work together completely. When the structure is subjected to load, a part of the carbon fiber filament with a higher stress level first reaches its tensile strength and exits the working state, and with the increase of the load, each carbon fiber filament gradually breaks until the overall failure. After using the adhesive, the carbon fiber can form a composite whole with the concrete, and can work well together to improve the bending and shear bearing capacity of the structural components, and achieve the purpose of reinforcing and reinforcing the structural components.

Carbon Fiber Applications

4. Protection and reinforcement of salt-damaged concrete, bridges and river structures.
Carbon Fiber Fabric Directions for Use
1. Before pasting carbon fiber, the related direction work such as cleaning of structural surface attachments and chiseling of paint layer should be completed, and the solid structural surface of the component must be exposed.
Grind off the surface of the structural components of the floating pulp layer, burrs, stains, etc., to ensure that the structure surface is smooth and clean, the positive corner of the components should be polished into a radius of not less than 20mm small rounded corners, after the grinding is completed, with a strong hair dryer for detailed cleaning treatment.
2. Chiseling and repair the original structural surface.
Repair materials such as structural adhesive or 42.5# cement to smooth the surface to ensure that the structural surface of the components is smooth and without cracks, so as to facilitate the smooth transition of carbon fiber cloth.
3.Test and paste the position line
According to the design requirements of the drawing, paste the position line.
4. Carbon fiber cloth cutting
According to the requirements of the drawing, the actual section size and span (length) of the reinforced component were measured on site.According to the cutting list, the cutting construction of carbon fiber cloth was completed. Carbon fiber cloth should be placed on a flat, clean and solid plane for blanking to avoid contamination and minimize blanking errors.
5. Mixing the Carbon fiber adhesive according to the mixing ratio ,ensure that the AB group are evenly mixed
6. Apply the epoxy resin adhesive
Use a plastic scraper or roller to evenly apply the prepared epoxy resin adhesive on the surface ofthe component, the adhesive layer must be uniform, full, no bubbles, when applying epoxy resin adhesive, the structural surface of the component must be dry if the moisture content of the component surface is greater than 4%, measures should be taken to dry.
7. Paste carbon fiber cloth
Paste the carbon fiber cloth from one end to the other, adhesive surface covered with epoxy resin adhesive, and scrape the carbon fiber cloth with a scraper along the direction of the fiber,force until the epoxy resin adhesive is completely soaked in the carbon fiber cloth to ensure that the carbon fiber cloth and the structural surface are tightly pasted.
8. Within 1 hour after the carbon fiber cloth is pasted, apply epoxy resin adhesive or paste the second layer of carbon fiber cloth, track and check the paste quality. If the surface of the carbon fiber cloth needs covert processing, it should be sprinkled with sand and roughened within 30-45 minutes after applying the epoxy resin adhesive.
9. Static curing
Within 2 hours of pasting the carbon fiber cloth, no disturbance is allowed, and the component should not be loaded within 3 days.
10.Inspection and acceptance
After the construction of carbon fiber cloth paste is completed, paste quality inspection and acceptance should be carried out 7 days later. According to the requirements of the code, the carbon fiber cloth paste hollow drum ratio (the ratio of the total hollow drum area to the total paste area) is not greater than 5%.
11.When the temperature is below 5 ° C, heating measures can be taken or the mixing ratio of the adhesive can be adjusted appropriately to ensure the paste quality of the carbon fiber cloth.
Carbon fiber with epoxy resin
In the process of using carbon fiber glue, the following points need to be noted:
1. Stirring: Before the mixing of the epoxy resin adhesive, stir group A evenly to avoid long-term precipitation (group B does not need to stir).
2. The ratio: According to the ratio of 2:1,weighing and placed in the container, with the blender evenly stir until the color is uniform. There should be no oil or impurities in the container.
3. Temperature: The temperature is required to be above 5 ºC.
4. Aging: After the adhesive ratio, it takes 20 minutes to use up in summer, and 30 minutes to use up in spring and autumn. Please control the using time to ensure the quality.
5. Storage: After opening the epoxy resin adhesive,it should be sealed storage, away from the fire source, avoid direct sunlight
