The geotextile serves as the protective layer of the geomembrane to protect the impermeable layer from damage. In order to reduce the ultraviolet radiation and increase the anti-aging performance, it is best to use the embedding method for laying. During construction, first use sand or clay with a smaller material diameter to level the base surface, and then lay it. When laying, do not strain it too tightly. The parts buried in the soil at both ends are corrugated. Finally, use fine sand or clay to lay a transition layer of about 10 cm on the two cloth and one film paved. Build a 20-30cm block stone (or precast concrete block) as a protective layer against erosion. During construction, it is best to avoid direct impact of stones, and to construct a protective layer while paving the membrane. The connection between two cloth and one membrane and surrounding structures should be anchored with expansion bolts and steel plate beads. The connection part should be coated with emulsified asphalt (2mm thick) for bonding to prevent leakage. Construction joint treatment is a key process that directly affects the seepage prevention effect. General joint methods include: 1. overlapping: the overlapping width should be greater than 15cm; 2. Hot welding: suitable for slightly thick geomembrane substrate, with a weld overlap width of not less than 5 cm (Adhesive bonding is not recommended, as it is easy to open after prolonged immersion in water, resulting in poor anti-seepage effect.)
